Quality Products Begin with The Right Material 

At Rampworld.com, we produce quality ramps by ensuring that proper materials are used for the job. This includes using 6061 T6 grade aluminum, a high grade marine aluminum that make sure your gangway lasts for a long time with no maintenance. As well, we ensure that the proper sized tube is used for your specific load requirement and length of ramp. Some sample sizes that might be recommended are:

2” x 2” x 0.120”   3” x 3” x 0.120”   4” x 4” x 0.188”   4” x 4” x 0.25” 6" x 6" x 0.25"

… and Continues with Quality Welding 

In making high quality welded products, proper welding procedure is key to making a product that remains both functional and beautiful for years. A poor weld job (see Figure 1) produces inferior products that both look unattractive AND is unable to last as long as properly welded ramps (see Figure 2). These products will need to be replaced more often, thus, costing more in the long run.

At Rampworld.com we ensure the best possible welding, by using thicker beading (1/4” vs 1/8”) along with the full penetration welding method. This allows for better fusion and a stronger weld for a long lasting product..   

Innovation Makes Our Gangways Unique 

The innovative hangar system (see Figure 3) designed by Rampworld.com produces less stress on the overall structure than the usual double leaf system. This is achieved by allowing both side to side movement, as well as, back and forth movement. And since less stress is placed on the structure as a whole, the marine gangway is able to function for longer.   

As well, for our wheels, we use a 1” stainless steel pin with a 6” x 2” wheel that doesn’t need any lubrication. This ensures a maintenance-free ramp and/or gangway.

Innovation Makes Our Gangways Inexpensive 

At Rampworld.com, we’ve implemented a jig system that allows our gangways to be built more quickly and more efficiently than the industry standard. Thus allowing us to pass the savings onto you, our clients.
